Community Representation for Chisholm

We are searching for a strong local person to represent the Melbourne electorate of Chisholm in the 2022 federal election.

Our democracy is broken. Most of us no longer feel represented by anyone in Canberra.

Fortunately, there are lots of people who think like us who want to fix this problem. We need a whole new batch of community representatives in Canberra who can speak for us and reform our once strong democracy.

Chisholm is in Mount Waverley and Box Hill in Melbourne. It is held by the Liberal Party’s Gladys Liu, a highly controversial member of the Chinese diaspora with longstanding connections with the Beijing regime. The Liberal Party persists with Gladys Liu even as it expresses concern about Chinese interference in Australian domestic affairs and talks up the prospect of war with China as an election strategy. Nothing could demonstrate its lack of commitment to Australian national interests more clearly than this.

The people of Chisholm can and should select and elect a local to represent them in Canberra, someone who can represent the diverse strands of opinion and background in Chisholm and bring the community together.

Our social fabric is facing stresses from all directions. Families face intense pressures in raising kids and in dealing with mental health, education, housing and employment challenges. Infrastructure is always behind, congestion is getting worse. Corruption and unethical behaviour seem to flow out of Canberra like mountain streams.

We want hundreds of people involved in Chisholm in selecting and electing a local person to represent them. If you are a voter in Chisholm, please fill in the form below and send it through. If you are considering putting yourself forward as a candidate, please get in touch.

We will hold a Zoom meeting in January for people who have made contact.
Then in February, we will hold face-to-face meetings in suburbs across the electorate to get everyone’s ideas.

We look forward to your participation.
